A Control Panel is a web-based interface using which you can handle various aspects of your web presence. As an example, you could set up or edit site files, set up and check e-mail messages, control databases, check visitor stats and so on. Those things are carried out through buttons and menus within a browser and the Control Panel could also be called ‘back office’, i.e. the administration area associated with your Internet hosting account. Most of the Control Panels these days will permit you to control all hosting-related matters, but you shall commonly require a different system to manage payments or to get a new domain in case the company offers domain registrations. Depending on the platform they use, you could be able to use the billing account to open a support ticket to ask a question or to resolve a problem as well, or you might have to use a 3rd system.
